This small, independent mobility shop is 18 miles from my home. It was recommended to me by a lady I met outside a supermarket who was using a self propelled Karma Ergo Lite wheelchair herself. She couldn’t speak highly enough of the shop and the staff. I’m so glad I went there today to buy my own wheelchair. I have a local Mobility shop 2 miles from my home, but which is difficult for a wheelchair user to access…. We travelled instead to  Leigh on Sea, where we were greeted in Able Aid by Dawn, whose customer services were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was so pleasant and easy to speak to, and not in the least pushy. Real, old fashioned customer services that made our visit a pleasure, and she was very knowledgeable about the 3 chairs I was interested in. I eventually settled on the Karma Ergo Lite 2 Self propelled chair, and was over the moon that it was around 10% cheaper than my nearest mobility shop was selling it for. A huge saving of over £55 for me. They have a large selection of mobility aids, furniture etc, and as my needs change, I won’t hesitate to go back again to make further purchases. My reclining seating furniture from Able-Aid is a winner. It is a compact comfort chair giving very good back support and also leg support both of which are adjustable. All this without taking up too much space. Friendly staff and a full range.            Jonathan

I had to hire a wheelchair for a few days, because of an ankle injury. Everything was so straightforward and so easy to do, also an extremely good price. The wheelchair was delivered, by a very professional and friendly man. I was then picked up by the same gentleman on time and as requested.
